Friday Flashback: April 18, 2007
I was snoozing on the plane while flying from London to Chicago when I woke up and noticed this picture on my little TV monitor.
This would definitely be the worst time to be hearing the words "mechanical failure"!
Um, no, my dear Finnster. That would not be the worst time to hear the words "mechanical failure".
If you've ever flown from Tokyo to New York or London, you will fly over the North Pole. Waking up to see blue everywhere on the map and no cities gives you pause, but waking up to see white everywhere an no cities means that if you go down and survive, you won't be floating an a reasonably well kitted-out life raft. You'll be waiting for the Russians to rescue you.
