Warm Thoughts...

I absolutely froze my butt off today. It wasn't really super cold outside, but it was moderately cold AND damp. I'm 100% Finnish, I was born in Canada, and I grew up in Chicago! I can't handle 45˚F and damp anymore? What da heck is da matter wit' me?

Sorry about that...King must've taken over my body for a couple of seconds.

It's time to fight the cold, damp Basel weather with a little mind over matter. Here are a few pictures of me and my folks taken last week in warm (80˚F), sunny Florida.

BLOGitse - I speak Finnish, but I don't write it very well. I speak Finnish with my father and English with my mother, and they speak Finnish to each other.

WAU! how about reading, if I write in Finnish
'Mukavaa paivanjatkoa sinne missa nyt olet!"
do you understand that? :-)

BLOGitse - Kyllä minä ymmärrän jos sinä kirjotat Suomeksi. Just don't use words that are too big.

konekirjoittajattaritta! :)

Blogitse - I don't mean the length of the words. If you use words that are university-level words, then I'll have to look them up in a dictionary. That being said, I guess it's a good way for me to improve my vocabulary. I often have to throw in an English word when I speak Finnish, or I have to talk my way around words that I don't know if I'm speaking to Finnish relatives who don't speak English.
