So Far In Chicago...

...I have:

smelled TWO skunks!

eaten corned beef hash and Fritos (not together)!

had a minor dispute with a cashier (I won!)!

seen a friend I haven't seen for over a year!

watched a grade school Halloween parade!

I hope the excitement doesn't escalate: I don't think I could handle it!

I'm enjoying beautiful, warm, and sunny weather here in Chicago. I just wish I had brought along some shorts.

Happy Halloween!!!

I am GREEN with envy and if you tell me that you ate an Italian beef with sweet peppers and mozz, I think I shall faint...

:)

yelli - Oh yeah...I forgot. I ate a combo sammich (sandwich) with sweet peppers but no mozz (trying to keep the calories under 10,000 per day). Sorry.

I don't know what's up with skunks this year! We've got a HUGE one in our neighborhood and it's already sprayed twice. My roommate thought the house was on fire!

Well I just want to know how you will combat the weight gain if or when you move back!

And while you are enjoying the warm weather, you should blog about your paris trip! :)

Ok - I'll stop telling you what to do because that's very rude of me, seriously. (apologizes)....

Hey TBF,

Are you staying there for the Election? Don't know if you are back yet or not....

michael - I smelled another one last night.

et - I'll combat the weight gain the same way I do in Europe: diet and exercise. I didn't lose the weight until 2005-2006, so I was heavy for most of the time we've lived in Europe. Losing the weight wasn't a Europe vs. America thing, it was just a "me deciding it was time to lose weight" thing. Oh...and I'll have to blog about Paris after I return to Basel.

leesa - Yes, I'm still here...in the middle of it all.

We had another skunk alert last night, I wish he would leave because I like to sleep with the windows open at this time of year and he's ruining it for us.

Although I do hope that he sprayed some of the rugrats that are running around our neighborhood.....I would pay to see them go home to their parents smelling of skunk and trying to explain it.
